Lemon Bars

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 cup sifted confectioner sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice (2 lemons)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cut in the butter.
Press in 13 x 9 pan.
Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

Beat the eggs, sugar and lemon juice.
Sift 1/4 cup flour + baking powder and stir in the mixture.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or longer.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.

Makes 30 bars.
